In an exclusive interview with KpopStarz, the fourth sub-unit of tripleS, LOVElution, shared their excitement regarding their "Authentic" tour in the United States.

tripleS LOVElution Bares Enthusiasm on 'Authentic' Tour, Desired Collabs, More in Exclusive Interview

tripleS LOVElution, an eight-membered girl group composed of SeoYeon, HyeRin, YuBin, Kaede, DaHyun, Nien, SoHyun, and Xinyu, debuted on August 17, 2023, with mini album "LOVElution <ↀ>" and title track "Girls' Capitalism."

As the fourth addition to tripleS's flexible roster, the girls are more than excited to make their mark in the music scene. In a conversation with KpopStarz, the starlets were asked how it felt to be the newest tripleS sub-unit to debut.

Nien, formerly known as S13, shared how happy she, SeoYeon, and Xinyu were with their debut as LOVElution members.

"SoHyun, Xinyu, and I finally get to debut, which is exciting and we're happy to be on stage to see our fans and perform to our hearts' content," Nien happily shared.

LOVElution didn't just step into the world of K-pop for the first time, but they also reached out immediately to fans across the globe with their "Authentic" tour, which also marks their first-ever venture and appearance in the United States.

When asked about their upcoming tour, LOVElution shared how their endearing fandom, WAVs, would absolutely love the exciting performances that they had prepared. The girls also made sure fans would have a good time since they honed each performance into perfection!

"The tour will be full of songs that our fans, WAV love. You'll definitely enjoy the tour once you see us on stage."

"I think showing a perfect performance to the fans is what we focused on the most. We're practicing a lot to make sure we present our fans with unforgettable stages and memories."

tripleS LOVElution Discusses Concept, Musical Influences, More

1. As LOVElution, can you share how your new sub-unit will differ from previous tripleS groups in terms of vibe? What kind of concept LOVElution would show WAVs?

SoHyun: "LOVElution aims to send positive vibes to all listeners and give them strength. We'll also try to be more unique than our previous units, so it'll be fun for everyone to watch!"

2. Congratulations on releasing your debut mini album "ↀ (pronounced as Muhan)!" Can you share your thoughts about the title song "Girls' Capitalism"? Can you tell us more about its lyrics and concept?

SeoYeon: "Thank you! The song is about how we can create our own future through self-reliance. The lyrics encourage you to be a confident person and that you can do what you aspire."

3. If you were to choose your favorite tracks in the album, which songs are your top picks? Which of them would you recommend to fans?

YuBin: "I'd like to recommend Black Soul Dress! Not only is it written and composed by our member SoHyun, but it's also great song for everyone to listen to for a boost of confidence. And of course, please listen to Girls' Capitalism!"

4. What was the most memorable moment for you guys when you were preparing for your debut album?

SoHyun: "When I was directing during the recording of my self-written and composed song 'Black Soul Dress'. It was great to experience how it was like to direct in the studio."

Xinyu: "I remember struggling with my Korean pronunciation during the recording of our songs. I'm super happy I overcame them in the end."

5. Aside from your current style as LOVElution, what concepts would you like to do soon?

Kaede: "I want to try a 90s Hip-hop concept."

DaHyun: "I want to try a dark and deep concept! I also want to try a chic concept which is opposite to what LOVElution is currently showing on stage."

6. Preparations must be hectic for sure, and you guys must have some downtime in between. In your free time outside of work, what activities do you usually do to relax?

SeoYeon: "Preparations for the tour are harder than I had thought but if I have downtime, I'd love to watch dramas or spend time without having a lot in my mind."

YuBin: "I usually sleep, eat, or am on my phone."

7. Are there any specific places in the United States would you like to visit for leisure time?

HyeRin: "I want to take photos with my members at a park and go shopping at Times Square."

8. Are there any musicians who have influenced your music taste? Which artists would you like to do a collab with in the future?

SeoYeon: "I came across the song 'Butterfly' by 24kGoldn and fell in love. He's an artist who broadened my taste in music.

SeoYeon: "I'd also like to collaborate with Lil Nas X as he's an artist who helped me through my exam period and if we could collaborate, that would mean the world to me."

HyeRin: "I want to collaborate with my role models BLACKPINK."

YuBin: "I want to collaborate with J of STAYC."

Kaede: "I'm drawn to BLACKPINK's girl crush concept and want to collaborate with aespa, who have their own distinct charms."

DaHyun: "I've been influenced heavily in terms of music by Taeyeon of Girls' Generation! I grew up listening to her music and was consoled by her voice. I'd love to collaborate with her one day."

Nien: "I came across Girls' Generation when I first found out about K-pop. I'd love to perform on stage with them."

SoHyun: "Artists like Bruno Major, Mura Masa have built my taste in music. I also want to collaborate with Syd, The Weeknd."

Xinyu: "I want to collaborate with Melanie Martinez. I really like how she conveys messages about social issues in her music and the creativity in her music videos."

9. A tour across the United States must've been exciting for you girls as well. Are there any special or funny moments would you like to share during your preparations for the tour?

SeoYeon: "I was able to build a stronger bond with the members while holding promotions for LOVElution and preparing for the tour together. We also saw the sunrise together due to practice sessions running till dawn."

Kaede: "We have a short period to prepare for the tour after our promotions, so it was a special time for us as we helped each other and huddled up."

10. You guys are quite energetic when performing for WAVs! When it comes to your live performances, do you guys have routines that can help you get into the right mindset before performing on stage?

Nien: "I get nervous easily, so I focus on my breathing before going on stage."

HyeRin: "I warm up while listening to the songs I'll perform and practice my expressions."

11. Which member is the group's mood maker who can boost everyone's spirits?

Kaede: "For me, it's energetic Nien! She's always positive and makes the members smile by lifting the mood. I'm happy to be able to perform with Nien and she's been a great support too."

Lastly, LOVElution shared a message for WAVs, who are all eager to see the girl group on live stage.

"We're so happy to embark on our first tour to the US and see our US fans. We're currently working on many different stages, so we hope our fans to look forward to them and enjoy the concert that day! See you there!"
