TXT Soobin Reveals Reason He Wanted to Become an Idol, Mentions His Favorite Girl Group KARA

On October 13, TXT uploaded the video content "TEAM: TXT," which featured the members opening up about their dreams and self-reflection. During the first few seconds, the staff left the filming area to let the TXT members get comfortable with their sharing.

However, when it was leader Soobin's turn to share, the idol was more than happy to reveal the reason behind his dream to become a singer.

Soobin revealed that at first, he recognized his dream because he wanted to meet his longtime favorite group KARA. After several years, the timing couldn't be more perfect for Soobin, as KARA reunited and made a successful comeback with "WHEN I MOVE" in 2022.

"To be completely honest, I first started dreaming of becoming a singer just because I wanted to see KARA-sunbaenim. Fortunately, the timing worked out perfectly, so I got to debut and achieve that dream and I got to meet them in person."

On April 8, KARA held their 15th anniversary fanmeeting "MOVE AGAIN" at the Sejong University, in Seoul. According to many attendees, Soobin was spotted among the crowd, showing how excited he was to meet his favorite idols.

Meanwhile, Soobin also expressed his thoughts regarding how far he has come in his career. The idol also showed a bit of vulnerability and voiced out how he always wanted to do better every time TXT made a new comeback.

"I achieved things that are way bigger than I expected, so I think I'm at a place way higher and more ideal than what I was dreaming of as a trainee. I don't really have big dreams, actually. But I always want to do better than the previous promotion."

Soobin also clarified that while he's not sure about his dreams, he still has a personal goal. The "Chasing That Feeling" singer shared how he wanted to start on self-improvement by taking the time to understand his own self.

"Dream? This isn't really a dream, but I do have a goal. I want to have a clearer ego. I feel like I change so much every year. So right now, I'm in the process of understanding myself. I think I almost got it. I'm getting to know myself well now."
