BOYNEXTDOOR became the subject of numerous threads across the online community for their controversial airport incident caused by the group's security personnel.

Videos and reports spread online, showing the guard had slammed the fan into the ground to pave the way for BOYNEXTDOOR. This caused a rift inside the K-pop community, with some siding with the guard's tenacity, while others were concerned with the fan's well-being.

On December 19, KOZ Entertainment broke silence and addressed the situation. The agency apologized to the fan directly and to everyone who was affected by the commotion. It also shared that the certain personnel will not be dispatched to their artist's future schedules.

However, many were disappointed with how the agency handled the issue since it only released a statement right after the incident made headlines in Korea. The negative reactions poured in even more when netizens directed their attention towards BOYNEXTDOOR's behavior.

According to the post, the author uploaded numerous instances of IU, BTS, and NewJeans being courteous to the people around them, including their staff.

It also shared the fan's captured fall at the airport and alluded that BOYNEXTDOOR members still proceeded to walk through despite the dire situation. The OP shared:
