A popular K-pop male idol became hot topic for visiting a nightclub, sparking an online thread full of netizens who called the artist out for the "controversial" visit.

On December 31, 2023, Juyeon trended across online communities for reportedly visiting a nightclub, as claimed by Korean netizens.

According to a post, the OP elaborated Juyeon's night out from a non-celebrity friend's Instagram Story screenshot, showing a photo of Juyeon alongside his companions. It also claimed that the get-together also happened on the same day as the 2023 MBC Gayo Daejejeon.

OP revealed that Juyeon was tagged by the friend in the Story, along with other acquaintances including a Korean female model. However, Juyeon was eventually removed from the original Instagram Story. The author captioned:

"THE BOYZ Juyeon. It was the 2023 Gayo Daejejeon today, and this was one of the pictures posted by his relatives."

Translation: 'Cut it down. How many times are you going to upload this?'

"He tagged Juyeon of THE BOYZ and removed it, so the Twitter post doesn't have his username, but it was right here."

"There was also a female model there."

Translation: '"Lee Juyeon's gathering with friends also had a woman there too. Stop your friendship with Lee Juyeon! Do you want to be the founder of the 2nd orange room? (t/n: not sure what they're referring to)."

However, it was also speculated that the event was an acquaintance's birthday celebration, which took place in a private room in a newly established Hannam-dong club.

"Plus, it was indeed a club."

Translation: "New club opened in Hannam-dong, SX has opened its doors."

The post was followed by frustrated netizens, who expressed negative remarks over Juyeon's actions. Meanwhile, some were stunned by the female model. Here's how they reacted:

•  "To all the fangirls who said this f**ker will never have controversies and business posts blown up, he's finally getting exposed."

•  Translation: "Male idols going to the army after 7 to 8 years of promotion is actually quite a good thing because that's the time their mentality gets twisted, leading to controversies. It's indeed the perfect time to send them to the army."

•  "The fact that he went to a club and drunk until the middle of the night on the day of his live, he seriously doesn't care about his job anymore."

•  "The model who went there with them was so pretty."

•  "I support their friendship."

However, international fans stood up for Juyeon, saying how the idol had the right to let loose and hang out with his friend group. On X (Twitter), some were doubtful of the setting being a club and if it were so, the idol's private schedules should be respected, nevertheless.

•  "They really expect male idols to sit in their smelly dorms looking at the wall for 7-10+ years. Also the comments? they were waiting to have something on him."
•  "Okay and? I'm waiting for the rest of the history. Did I lose the plot? He's getting hate for going out with his family and friends?"

•  "The crime here being at the club? With women present? After work? Not even dancing with them on video like the other idols. This is so funny."
