EXO Baekhyun 'Shocked' When PHIXOs 'Allowed' His Skinship With Dancers

On April 13, EXO Baekhyun met PHIXOs (Philippine EXO-Ls) once again through his first solo concert, "Lonsdaleite."

Kicking off in March, Baekhyun embarked on his 2024 Asia Tour, visiting various cities in Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Thailand.

During his sold-out solo concert in Manila held at the Araneta Coliseum, Baekhyun made the performance worthwhile with his high-quality stages and top-tier singing and dancing skills.

The K-pop icon sent fans into a frenzy when he showcased live stages for his solo tracks like "UN Village," "Bambi," "Candy," "Amusement Park," and more.

He also served fans with the live version of EXO's songs "Diamond" and "Playboy," as well as "Paranoia," the debut track of the virtual act HEARTSTEEL of League of Legends.

But among his performances, what captured both Byun Baekhyun and EXO-Ls' attention was when he asked for the fans' permission to do skinship with his dancers.

Initially, he was hesitant to do it during one of his songs that he had to ask for the audience's permission.

As a context, ahead of his "Cry For Love" stage, the idol told fans that the song would involve him having a skinship with his backup dancers; thus, he told PHIXOs in advance to avoid them being "jealous."

However, the reaction of Filipino fans brought confusion to Baekhyun. He was met with loud cheers of approval instead!

Baffled at the reaction, he asked again to make sure that the fans and him were on the same page. But PHIXOs assured him it was totally fine he does skinship during the performance.

Upon understanding that the fans' answer was a resounding "yes," Baekhyun was finally able to shake off his nervousness and proceeded with the performance.

Undoubtedly, the stage was breathtaking, especially the part where Baekhyun was hitting the song's high notes while on top of the bed.

His dreamy visuals and stable vocals were memorable!

With his "culture-shocked" expression, some PHIXOs shared the clip on various SNS, such as on X and TikTok, and it immediately garnered various reactions.

There are numerous fans who laughed at the EXO's main vocalist's reaction, joking that he can't believe international fans are not bothered an inch if he does a skinship with his dancers.

The topic of dating and marriage was also brought up, with fans stating that Baekhyun would be more shocked if he learned that a lot of his foreign fans would be over the moon if he dates or ties the knot.

Just then, Eris couldn't help but feel bad and sad as to why Baekhyun had to ask permission from fans for a mere skinship during a performance — and that was due to his "traumatic" experience from Korean EXO-Ls.

It's not a secret from the fandom that many Korean fans want a pseudo-relationship with EXO members. Unfortunately, the group seems to be aware of the reality and refuse to act like boyfriends to fans.

While they often show their love and care for EXO-Ls in the best ways they can, fans are against the idea of the EXO members dating and interacting with the opposite sex.
