On April 15, 2024, a post titled "Irene's Instagram update" was posted to the popular South Korean online community forum Instiz. In the post, the original poster shared the female idol's post, as well as a screenshot of one of the images.

Once the post was shared in the community forum, Korean netizens rushed to the comment section to share their reactions. Surprisingly, netizens were divided over it.

Some people simply admired her beauty, stating that she was pretty and that she does not age. Others wondered how she was able to look so good despite her unique poses and expressions. Some netizens commented that her face truly works hard, as it has to be that pretty every day.

However, not everyone was pleased with Irene.

Others lamented over how important someone's image and reputation are because, despite how pretty she looks, many people remember Irene for her previous "power trip" controversy. Back in 2020, Irene garnered backlash after it was discovered she verbally assaulted a stylist. The idol has since apologized, and the stylist forgave the idol.

People dissed the idol for having an easy life with her pretty face, while others expressed that they wished her heart was as pretty as how she looks.
