Coachella's LE SSERAFIM Instagram Post Flooded With Hate Comments

Many were still highly critical of the girl group's vocals, with some begging Source Music and HYBE Labels to invest in some vocal training for the girls. Some even claimed that LE SSERAFIM's performance was the worst and wondered why Coachella invited them.

Others stated that at the level they are currently at, they are not ready to take on the Coachella stage. Some K-pop fans suggested other groups that should have been given the honor instead, such as (G)I-DLE, MAMAMOO, Dreamcatcher, Kiss of Life, BABYMONSTER, among others.

However, some comments defended the girl group. Many pointed out that the girls retained the original choreography of their songs, which are known to be very intense and hard-hitting. That, paired with the nervousness they must have been experiencing, could have led to the shaky vocals.

Some claimed they didn't see a problem with their live vocals and that they were all around stable except for some moments. They sympathized with how hard it must have been to dance and sing live while also hyping up a crowd, and they congratulated LE SSERAFIM for a successful performance at Coachella.

Some comments read,

  • "Considering how hard this choreography is, they slayed the vocals. Chaewon was literally singing while whipping her head. I wish they had changed some dancing parts to allow the girls to sing easier."
  • "Please, HYBE, teach them how to sing live."
  • "Us Koreans are embarrassed. Is this the definition of a singer now? This is not only disrespectful to Coachella, it is straight up an embarrassment to K-pop culture. Not every group is this bad."
  • "What's the point of commenting if you're just going to bring them down? Okay, they were a tiny bit unstable. But guys, you try hyping up the crowd while dancing in front of a few thousand people."
  • "The worst performance ever. Who invited them? Please, Coachella, invite (G)I-DLE, Kiss of Life, or TWICE next time. Coachella is a place for people who can sing."
  • "They did so well! I am so proud of my girls!"
