Lee Seung Gi Announces Japanese Debut

Singer Lee Seung Gi will start his Japanese singing debut with his single "Alone in Love" releasing on March 6th. The singer-actor made the announcement on January 30th at a press conference in Japan.

A press release by Oricon reported that Lee will also be performing the single at Nippon Budokan in June. The 'crown prince' of Korea would become the first Korean artist to perform at the Nippon Budokan just three months after making his Japanese debut. "I know that not everyone is able to perform at the Nippon Budokan, but I am grateful that I am able to perform at such an honorable venue", Lee said.

The singer stated at the press conference that it was difficult for him to sing in Japanese but it was worth the effort and made sure he was prepared for the task. "It was really hard to pronounce Japanese words but I have readily prepared myself so that people who hear me speak and sing will not feel awkward."

Besides Lee Seung Gi, singer IU will also be debuting in Japan after completing a successful demonstration there. Lee added that he was aware of the timing that he and IU share for their debut. "I think that as solo singers, we will be able to show you sides that are different from group artists, and I look forward to our promotions."
