One of the hottest sources of information on the internet these days is BuzzFeed, a popular website that catalogues viral media in clever and interesting ways. Now, when talking about viral music videos, it is very difficult to separate K-Pop from the mix.

South Korean pop culture has been steadily gaining momentum on the internet for well over a decade, but in the last few years it has exploded.

It is safe to say that aside from Psy's massive international hit "Gangnam Style" last year, 2013 has been K-Pop's most viral year yet - and proof can be found all over BuzzFeed.

With the end of the year quickly approaching, many media outlets are hard at work on 'Best Of' compilations and lists (KpopStarz included!) and sprinklings of K-Pop can be found everywhere.

In a December 11 BuzzFeed article by Matthew Perpetua and the BuzzFeed Music staff, they counted down '24 of the Most Brilliant Music Videos from 2013', and it is no surprise that a couple Koreans made the cut.

Among the vast array of talented artists listed, Big Bang leader G-Dragon checked in at number three and Korean rapper San E sat proudly in the twentieth spot.

G-Dragon's very bizzare "MichiGO" music video gained attention for being just that, very bizzare. The song's title is a play on words meaning 'go crazy' and for the video, the popular singer pulled out all the stops - weird costumes, a rather unsettling foot fetish sequence, and what appears to a subway ride inspired by Willy Wonka.

The writers' commentary is simple and direct, "G-Dragon is known for making the most flamboyant and weird videos in K-Pop, and this delightfully weird video is his best yet."

San E also made it on the list for his late November release, "Break Up Dinner."

At first glance the video doesn't seem all that interesting, just a guy and a girl sitting in a restaurant. But as the authors pointed out, "The key to appreciating this delightful K-Pop video is to watch it with the English subtitles." They even added a, "Just do it," for good measure.

With the translated lyrics at the bottom, "Break Up Dinner" gets infinitely better, especially for the billions of people who don't understand Korean, because the viewer now realizes San E is literally rapping about all the mundane things going on over the course of the dinner. Brilliant.

While it was great to see Koreans being represented in a positive light along with some the world's hottest entertainers like Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus, there was one thing curiously missing from the BuzzFeed coverage.

For all of the other music videos on the list, credit was given to the directors - information that was sadly missing from the two Korean tracks.

Renowned director Seo Hyun Seung is responsible for G-Dragon's "MichiGO" while Woody Answer Jr. is the mastermind behind "Break Up Dinner."

"MichiGO" was not Director Seo's first time working with G-Dragon, in fact, he is the genius behind many music videos from the Big Bang members including "Fantastic Baby," "Coup d'etat" and "Ringa Linga."

Woody Answer has also made a name for himself among some of Korean hip-hop's biggest stars and he previously directed San E's video for "Story of Someone I Know."
