Idol group Girls’ Generations have been selected to endorse Lotte Department Store as their official models.

Lotte Department Store revealed on Sunday as their new model. This is unexpected as until now Lotte Department Store has only used well-known female actresses, authors rather than idols.

Girls’ Generation will be working as the main model endorsing Lotte Department Store for a year. The company wishes to use Girls’ Generation’s bubbly and young image, fashionable sense to appeal as a trendy department store.

The popular retail brand Lotte Department Store has 30% of customers in their teens and twenties and wishes to attract such customers through Girls’ Generation.

As Girls’ Generation is one of the leading hallyu groups it is expected to help promote Lotte Department Store to brand to become familiar among the Girls’ Generation’s international fans.
