YG Entertainment's CEO Yang Hyun Suk delivered some bitter news to WINNER.

The January 17th episode of Mnet's "WINNER TV" showed the members presenting the songs they composed for their first album to CEO Yang Hyun Suk.

Upon hearing WINNER's songs, Yang Hyun Suk could not hide his disappointment. He asked the group of their current status. Yang Hyun Suk pointed out that the members had become too comfortable after winning on their survival audition program, and scolded them for having such lax attitudes.

Compared to the relaxed WINNER members, Yang Hyun Suk was nervous. He said to them, "You guys are the so-called next generation to follow Big Bang, and people have extremely high expectations for you. You can't bring the same quality of songs that you presented during your auditions. It'll get you in trouble." He continued, "You need to create songs that will have people marveling, 'So that's YG, that's WINNER.' If I'm this anxious, you guys can't be lax. Right now is a time when you should not feel comfortable. You have to be desperate."

He went on to say, "Success isn't just succeeding because you come out from YG. It's like going through the eye of a needle. You're competing against dozens and even hundreds of teams. The moment you think you're doing alright is the moment it will all end." Yang Hyun Suk delivered this heartfelt advice to WINNER.

"WINNER TV" is a show that follows the final winners of the survival audition program "WIN: Who Is Next." It highlight the rookie group WINNER and their preparations and activities up to their official debut.
