Sean Hayes Is Engaged To Longtime Love Scott Icenogle! ‘Will & Grace’ Actor Accidentally Reveals Marriage Plans On Talk Show

Sean Hayes is engaged! And it appears that he has been for a while.

While serving as a co-panelist and guest on CBS's "The Talk" on Monday, Oct. 27, Hayes was spotted wearing a gold ring on his ring finger. Although the "Will and Grace" star did not confirm his engagement at the time, his rep later addressed the issue, revealing that Hayes is indeed engaged to longtime love Scott Icenogle.

"Sean and Scott have been together for eight years. They are not yet married but they have been engaged for quite some time," Hayes' rep told RumorFix.

Per his rep's statement, it appears Hayes and Icenogle, a composer and music producer, have been planning to marry for a long time. The couple has reportedly been together for approximately eight years.

In an interview on the "Ellen Show," during which Hayes continued to wear his gold ring without explanation, the star referred to Icenogle as his "other half."

Hayes, who starred as hilarious Jack McFarland on "Will & Grace," officially came out as gay in an article for The Advocate in 2010.

"When I play a gay character I want to be as believable as possible. And when I'm playing a straight character I also want to be as believable as possible. So the less that people know about my personal life, the more believable I can be as a character," said Hayes.

Hayes' producing partner Todd Milliner told USA Today last October that the Emmy-winning actor had found personal happiness since his ground-breaking NBC series ended.

"Once Will & Grace ended and he wasn't in the public eye all the time, and we were just producing-and then when he went to Broadway on top of it-he did seem like he relaxed a lot more," said Milliner. "Not just about his personal life, just about everything. He seems like he's a lot happier."
