"Respond 1997" Originally Named "1994?" Reason for Changing Name?

It has been revealed that the tvN drama "Respond 1997" was originally called "Respond 1994."

Regardless of it being a cable drama, it has received a huge amount of support. The last episode is set to air on September 18. 

The producer commented, "When we first started putting this drama together, the writer and I decided on the year we were both in school which was 1994."

However, with the addition of rapper Eun Ji Won, who used to be a part of Sechskies, the producers thought that it would be fun to push it forward 3 years to 1997. 

"Respond 1997" is about high school students from the year 1997 who lived in a time where analog and digital were both taking place.

When asked about the possibility for a season 2, the producer replied, "If there is enough good contents and story lines, it is possible."
