How Did SISTAR Become Style Icon?

SISTAR was chosen as the 'Teenage Style Icon' of the year.

At the '2012 Style Icon Awards' hosted in Seoul CJ E&M Center, SISTAR was given the 'Teenage Style Icon' award.

They said, "It's an honor for us to be here. Thank you so much for giving us such a meaningful award. We hope to always be improving and growing."

Girl group SISTAR had competed against a horde of other idol groups, all of whom strove for 'cute' or 'sexy.' The girls from SISTAR showed off their healthy sexiness and their strategy worked.

They are unique in many ways. They can really dance and really sing and they are currently sweeping many commercials, variety programs and acting as well. 

'2012 Style Icon Awards' is given to those who are influential in affecting people's lifestyles and styles and this is the 5th year the awards have been held.

The award was given to Sistar, Psy, Seo In Guk & Jung Eunji, Song Joong Gi, Suzy, Super Junior, Yoon Jun Sang, Im Soo Jung, Jang Dong Gun and Ha Jung Woo.

Jang Dong Gun took home the biggest award, 'Style Icon of the  Year.'
