On January 26, JYP Entertainment, home to top-tier girl groups TWICE and ITZY, introduced its new girl group, NMIXX. On that day, the agency also released a teaser clip that unveiled the team's logo, through its official SNS.
What Does 'NMIXX' Mean? JYP Entertainment's New Girl Group to Debut in February 2022
In the 10-second clip, NMIXX logo was unveiled, where 'XX' resembles chromosomes.
In particular, "NMIXX" is a shortened word for the sentence, "Nice to meet you," which expresses the members' excitement to meet K-pop fans for the first time.
In addition to this, "NMIXX" is a stylized amalgamation of the letter "N" and the word "mix."

"N" conveys the numerous possibilities of the group, wherein the letter stands for "now," "new," "next" and the unknown "n" (in a mathematical formula).
"Mix" then symbolizes the group's diversity, hinting at the group's image as "the best combination to take responsibility for the new era."
It is expected that the soon-to-debut group will create a new wave in the music industry by combining various charms just like how its senior girl groups Wonder Girls, Miss A, TWICE and ITZY took over the music industry by showcasing their top-tier skills.

NMIXX, JYP's new girl group is a seven-member team that consists of Jinni Jiwoo, Kyujin, Sullyoon, Bae (BAE), Haewon, and Lily. They appeared through a total of 14 pre-promotions for about four months from August to November last year and drew attention with their overflowing talent and potential on the unique content "QUALIFYING" series and practice live.
In particular, all seven of them are all-rounders who are not limited to specific positions, heralding the birth of a "7-7 All-Ace" group consisting of seven vocals, seven dances, and seven visual members.

On the other hand, to focus on the group's promotion and activities, JYP established the artist headquarters 4 called "SQU4D." The team is led by Lee Ji Young, the first female in-house director of JYP and will start a full-fledged voyage along with the septet.
More details related to NMIXX, the much-anticipated rookie star in 2022, will be released sequentially on its official SNS, which has been refurbished from JYPn (girl group's initial name) to NMIXX.
