NCT Haechan Supposed Friendship With Controversial Former K-Pop Trainee Han Seohee Draws Flak – Here's Why

Korean netizens believe NCT member Haechan is friends with controversial former K-pop trainee Han Seohee, and their connection is drawing major flak.

On June 2, 2024, a post titled "This is NCT Haechan's and Han Seohee" was uploaded to Nate Pann, one of the most popular South Korean online community forums.

In the post, the original poster shared a screenshot from Han Seohee's Instagram Story. The image shows two dogs sitting comfortably on a comfy chair, with a window in the back. The poster also included a photo of Haechan with his dog Woojoo, sitting on a near-identical chair with a window behind him.

Korean netizens believe Han Seohee took the photo of her dog and Haechan's dog in the idol's parents' house, proving their close friendship. However, they do not believe the two are dating. It was discovered that Han Seohee's phone background is Jaehyun, another member of NCT. They believe that if she was dating Haechan, her background would not be another NCT member.

This is not the first time Han Seohee has been linked to an SM Entertainment artist. Previously, it was rumored that her best friend was the ex-girlfriend of RIIZE member Eunseok. Her best friend was reportedly the broker for Han Seohee and her dates with various male celebrities.

Korean netizens stated that they are disgusted by Haechan's supposed friendship with the controversial figure due to her past. Han Seohee has been in hot waters since 2017 after it was revealed she smoked weed with BIGBANG's T.O.P. She was also involved in the drug scandals of B.I (former iKON) and Wonho (former MONSTA X).

K-netz dug even further and discovered that Haechan's female friends had taken photos with Han Seohee. With these photos, Korean netizens are convinced that NCT and RIIZE are close to Han Seohee. Some netizens insulted the idols, stating that this proves "SM's male idols have no standards."

While Korean netizens are against their friendship, they believe Haechan will likely not face much backlash from his fanbase. They brought up his indoor smoking controversy from January after he was caught vaping during a practice session with NCT. Though Korean netizens were against him at the time, Haechan's fans fiercely defended him.
