HTC Desire 500 Release Date: Entry Level Smartphone With 4.3 Inch Screen, Quad-Core Snapdragon 200 Processor Marketed For Youth Arriving In Taiwan On August 1

The Taiwanese mobile phone maker recently announced the official HTC Desire 500 release date.

A lot of reports and rumors had been flying around online regarding HTC Desire 500 until most recently; the smartphone received its official introduction, thanks to its creator. According to International Business Times, HTC announced that the HTC Desire 500 release date in Taiwan is going to be in August 1.

HTC Desire 500 will focus on a specific market - the youth and young professionals. Some of the HTC Desire 500 specs include 4.3 inch WVGA screen display with 800 x 480 resolution, 1 GB of RAM and 1.6 MP front camera. It's 8 MP rear camera accompanied by a LED flash and BSI Sensor can also render 720 HD video recording. Furthermore, the phone will sport a 1.2 Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor. It will also be equipped Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a 4GB internal storage (expandable up to 64 GB via MicroSD card slot).

HTC Desire 500 will also feature Beats Audio and with its 1800 mAh battery, it can deliver more than 17.8 hours of talk time or 401 hours of standby time, HTC revealed as cited by India Today.

With HTC Desire 500's Sense 5 UI, it would be safe to assume that it will run (at least) the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

Phandroid noted that the HTC Desire 500 is an exciting device for those who do not want to shell out so much money for a smartphone.
