Playstation Vita Games 2013: Talking Dogs? Sony Launches Playstation Vita Pets, Allows Gamers To Customize Pooches

Sony has announced PlayStation Vita Pets, a virtual canine simulator that looks a lot like Nintendogs, where you can pamper and personalise your pooch - just as in Nintendo's DS and 3DS pet sims - and take your bundle of fur for walks, EuroGamer reports.

But there are two key differences: adventures with your PlayStation Vita Pets pet extend beyond the local neighbourhood and you can explore caves and dungeons, find treasure and also have your dog speak to you, EuroGamer also reports.

Over the next two weeks, Sony will be having a sale on numerous games for the PlayStation Vita handheld system like Street Fighter X Tekken and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus, the International Digital Times reports.

The prices are even better if you are a PlayStation Plus member with the savings ranging from 50 percent to 75 percent off, the International Digital Times also reports.

But sales for Playstation Vita games aren't the only thing gamers are talking about.

Gaming analyst Michael Pachter recently claimed that the PS4 won't be able to save the Playstation Vita, but NowGamer suggests the next-generation console will revitalize it.

"With the majority of PS4 owners likely to be PS Plus subscribers, those users will be not only be getting access to free PS4 games, but a host of PS Vita games as well," NowGamer writes.

"With a library of free PS Vita games at your fingertips, suddenly, the Vita will start to look a lot more tempting."
