Pokemon X And Y Demo At Pokemon Game Show And Gamescom: New Merchandise, New Pokedex Additions From Nintendo?

This weekend, Pokemon X and Y will be featured at the first ever Pokemon Game Show, which will include a playable demo, along with potential new Pokedex reveals and more!

This is a big upgrade from previous years, as usually Pokemon is joined by other franchises at the World Hobby Fair or Tokyo Game Show. Except this year, Pokemon Game Show will be dedicated entirely to your favorite franchise!

In addition to X and Y demo, the show will reportedly also highlight Pokemon Tretta, the Pokemon Card Game, and most likely Pokemon Rumble U to some capacity.

The event will be held August 17 and 18 at Tokyo Big Sight, according to Siliconera.

Reportedly, the demo will include the game-changing Mega Evolutions, as confirmed by Official Nintendo Magazine.

For Japan, the Pokemon X and Y demo will playable in Aeon Malls across the country on August 20-31, August 24-25, and August 31 to September 1.

In addition to the Pokemon Game Show, Pokemon X and Y will also be shown at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, showcasing a European demo.

And, if the Pokemon Game Show is anything like previous generations during the unveiling season, a new Pokemon will likely be introduced within the demo as well.

Who's thinking it'll be a new Mega Evolution?

But on top of that, fans should expect new merchandise and more at the event, which is sure to pack more than a few surprises.
