Grey's Anatomy Season 10 Spoiler: Therapy for Sandra Oh Before Leaving The Show – Is Cristina Yang Going To Die?

Sandra Oh confirmed leaving after "Grey's Anatomy" Season 10. The Hollywood Reporter first broke the news with an interview conducted with Sandra Oh.

In the interview, Sandra Oh said, "It's been a great privilege to play the character of Cristina Yang on GA and I am both sad and excited to see where this, her final season will take her."

The decision seems to be a painful process as Oh confirmed undergoing a lot of therapy before making her decision.

On The Hollywood Report interview, Sandra Oh said, " I've gone through a lot of therapy over this. I started thinking about it because I had to prepare myself. I gave myself two years to emotionally let go. At the end of last season, Shonda took me aside and said, 'what are your thoughts?' I said, 'I'm ready.'"

While the news broke, Rhimes remain silent on how Oh's character will be written off from the series. Rhimes, however, promised she will give Cristina a promising exit for the character.

"This year is going to be bittersweet for us-we're both going to savor every moment of Cristina Yang and then we're going to give her the exit she deserves.  And when Sandra walks out of my door, Grey's Anatomy will be once again be forever changed," Rhimes said.

Though there are no details yet on Cristina Yang's departure from "Grey's Anatomy" Season 10, many fans and even entertainment reporters have already started making ideas on how her character should exit - one idea is death.

The Entertainment Weekly's blog shared five ideas on how Cristina Yang could leave the hit ABC series. One of which is a "fatal helicopter accident."

According to the blog, "Cristina survived a bomb, a gunman, and a plane crash. Perhaps a helicopter will finally finish her off? Helicopters are among the leading cause of death for TV doctors."

Co-actor and on-screen TV Partner, McKidd also expressed his thoughts when The Hollywood Report asked him how will he end Cristina's story.

McKidd answered, "I would definitely not like for her to die. It has to be some kind of healing moment for Cristina Yang, where she's transcended so much medically that the hospital can't contain her anymore."
