‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Movie Casting: Who Will Play Anastasia Steele? Brunette Alexis Bledel Remains Crowd Favorite. Emilia Clarke, Dakota Johnson, and Amanda Seyfried Also Eyeing The Role?

For fans, waiting for the official 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' movie casting is worse than being tortured in the Red Room of Pain. Names of celebrities eyed for the lead roles continue to pile as fans continuously play the guessing game.

Being the 21-year-old Anastasia "Ana" Steele is very challenging. She has to be naïve-looking yet at the same time willing to perform the duties of a college graduate turned sexual goddess.

With her gentle face and innocent stares, former 'Gilmore Girls' actress Alexis Bledel seems to be the crowd's favorite. In an interview with Wetpaint Entertainment, she admits that she's aware of being considered for the role: "I really don't know about it except that fans have made a trailer online. I know as much as you know. I've seen what you've seen, and I've probably had a similar reaction to yours!"

There are similar reports that the filmmakers are primarily looking for an up-and-coming actress. If such is the case, then Dakota Johnson fits the bills. She is known for sharing a love scene with Justin Timberlake in 'The Social Network'. The Wrap also mentioned Dakota as one of the "top contender" for Anastasia's role.

Another contender is Emilia Clarke who previously did a nude scene in the 'Game Of Thrones' series. This means that the former Broadway actress has no qualms in showing off her assets onscreen. There is even a facebook fan page promoting GOT's "Daenerys Targaryen" to play the role. Rumors are going around that Amanda Seyfried is likewise considered.

Amidst all these names, who is author E.L. James's bet for Anastasia Steele?

According to Zimbio, this year's top-paid writer has been captivated by actress Shailene Woodley after seeing her in 'The Descendants'.

The movie will be produced by Universal Studios and Focus Features and is said to be released on August 1 next year.
