Blue Ivy Carter Not On Drake's New Album Cover-- Drake Reveals Who It Is... It's Deeper, But Doesn't Involve Beyonce

Blue Ivy Carter isn't on Drake's album, he says.

The image of a child on Drake's new album cover, "Nothing Was the Same," is not Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of Jay Z and Beyonce.

"Why is Blue Ivy on Drake's album cover?" one fan tweeted.

"Drake put Blue Ivy Carter on his new album art #notmad," another person wrote on Twitter.

Instead, the "Blue Ivy" photo is meant to represent himself-his younger self.

Artist Kadir Nelson created the album cover, which shows musician Drake staring at a young African-American child with an Afro.

"It's a child version of myself staring at myself now," Drake told MTV.

"Sometimes when I try and think back on this journey, it's so hard to pinpoint all of these moments and it gets foggy," the 26-year-old rapper explained. "What that album art is to me is, like, 'This is my most clean, concise thoughts from now, and my best recollection of then.' That's really what that cover's about."
