"How I Met Your Mother" season 9 premiere promo photos are trickling out ahead of the season 9 premiere date of Monday, September 23 at 8pm on CBS. The promo photos feature Barney and Robin kissing, Marshall with baby Marvin on a plane, and Ted giving Robin a present, which we can only assume has something to do with the name of episode 1: "The Locket."

Here is the description of the first two episodes of "How I Met Your Mother" season 9, as reported by The Huffington Post: "On their way to Long Island for their wedding weekend, Robin and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) come across a startling family discovery. Meanwhile, Marshall sees something online that changes the course of his journey east, while Lily (Alyson Hannigan) confronts Ted (Josh Radnor) about letting go of Robin."

The new photos feature a long-suffering Marshall (Jason Segel) stuck on a plane with Sherri Shepherd, cradling baby Marvin.

Another photo shows Ted giving Robin (Cobie Smulders) a gift wrapped in red wrapping paper with a ribbon bow. We assume Ted's forlorn expression hints at the description of this episode, and his difficulty with letting go of Robin.

Barney and Robin share a sweet, romantic kiss in another promo photo, with Robin's engagement ring shining in the light almost as bright as her smile. Looks like the wedding is on for these two!
