Guardians Of The Galaxy Cast Update: Chris Pratt Talks Marvel Crossover, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel In Talks To Join Movie

The upcoming Marvel epic "Guardians of the Galaxy" has an eclectic cast to say the least, and it seems Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel are about to join the fun.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" is currently filming with its cast in the UK, which include Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Glenn Close, John C. Reilly, Benicio Del Toro and Lee Pace.

But two of its CGI characters, Groot and Rocket Raccoon, might go to latecomers Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel.

Currently, Bradley Cooper is in negotiations to voice the character Rocket Raccoon, an anthropomorphic raccoon who is an expert marksman and tactician.

As a "Guardians of the Galaxy" fan favorite, Rocket Raccoon will be fully rendered in CGI, and Cooper will likely voice the character at a later time.

In addition, Vin Diesel looks to be the likely candidate for Groot, a tree-like sentient being.

"If everybody thinks you're going to go for this one thing and you flip it entirely and go for the strangest Marvel character, it's interesting. And when something is interesting, it's inspiring," says Vin Diesel to Hero Complex.

"I'm pretty open, but I have been secretive about this. I went to Comic-Con and I got blasted while I was on the Hall H panel for "Riddick." Someone asked a Marvel question. I couldn't say anything because of that secrecy."

One "Guardians of the Galaxy" cast member who is vocal is Chris Pratt, who plays the main role as the Star-Lord.

"It's been really great. It's hard to even put into words, especially for someone like me who has the vocabulary of a sixth-grader. It's been a real trip," says Chris Pratt to IGN.

In talking about a Marvel crossover, Chris Pratt is hopeful about the idea.

"Man, that would be really cool. What's nice is that it is all the same universe. Because it falls under the Marvel umbrella, there is the possibility, just like in the comic books, that these stories could intersect."

"It's the greatest movie of the 21st century! That's what I'll say. It'll be the 'Citizen Kane' of movies other than 'Citizen Kane.'"
