‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 5 Spoilers: First Promo Clip Released Of Episode 1 Trailer, Features Stefan, Elena, Damon, Silas, Katherine [WATCH]

"The Vampire Diaries" season 5 promo clip for episode 1 was released earlier today by the CW. The spoiler: the episode 1 trailer shows interesting growing relationships between our favorite cast members Stefan, Elena, Damon, Silas, and Katherine.

The episode first episode "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 is called, "I Know What You Did Last Summer," HWHills.com reports.

According to the website, the 30 second trailer features Damon complaining about doppelgangers, which is befitting of this season as we have previously reported executive producers revealed season 5 will tackle the issue of doppelgangers more than ever before. The trailer also shows a recap of Stefan getting pushed into the bottom of the quarry by the villain Silas. We also get a glimpse of the new relationship between Damon and Elena, before Katherine shows up to greet Damon in her human state.

Elena better watch out! Adam Bryant of TV Guide gave a little spoiler when he said that Damon and Elena's "bliss will be foiled - yet again - by Katherine, who'll be back to meddle in everyone's lives," according to Aceshowbiz.com.

Silas is spotted talking to Katherine, in Stefan's form. Silas strokes Katherine's cheek, telling her she looks good as a mortal.

"The Vampire Diaries" returns Thursday, October 3 at 8/7c on The CW with "I Know What You Did Last Summer."
