Dave Chappelle Walks Off Stage In Connecticut After Heckling [VIDEO]; "Horrible to Watch" As Chappelle Stands Up On Stage Smoking A Cigarette; When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong?

Dave Chappelle walked off the stage in Connecticut last night after being heckled.  He stood up on the stage for 25 minutes smoking a cigarette waiting so that he would get paid and fulfill his contractual obligation.

Hartford Courant reporter Julie Stagis was at the show where Dave Chappelle walked off the stage and says, "There were a lot of lulls."  According to Sturgis, Chappelle said "something funny about how he'd hop a plane to South Africa in the morning like he did when he quit Chappelle's Show. Then he started lecturing the audience, insulting everybody rather than just the hecklers. It was like when your teacher says 'I'll wait' and sits there, waiting for the class to be quiet."

Sturgis said it was "horrible to watch," and after the booing started, it "was incredibly awkward and very uncomfortable."  Dave Chappelle walked off the stage afterwards.

Dave Chappelle is famous for such sketches as Tron, When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong, Black White Supremacist, and Charlie Murphy.  Dave Chappelle's show on Comedy Central was a great success before he abandoned his show in the middle of the third season, walking off the metaphorical stage of television.  He had just signed a 50 million dollar deal with Comedy Central.  Time magazine put Dave Chappelle on their top 10 most reclusive celebrities list as a result of his actions.
