American Horror Story Season 3 Coven Character Names Revealed: Lily Rabe, Gabourey Sidibe, Angela Bassett To Play Voodoo Family?
As "American Horror Story" season 3, titled "Coven," continues filming in New Orleans, IMDB has potentially revealed more character names of its massive cast.
Fans of "American Horror Story" may know that season 3 will bring back Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson as mother and daughter characters with the names Fiona and Cordelia.
And as previously reported, Kathy Bates will play a character inspired by Madame Delphine LaLaurie, while Angela Bassett will play a voodoo priestess named Marie Laveau.
However, IMDB is stating that Bassett's character name will be Olivia Startville, and two other actresses who will also play characters with the same last name will be Gabourey Sidibe and Lily Rabe.
Reportedly, the character names for Gabourey Sidibe and Lily Rabe will be Berta and Monica Startville, respectively.
Does this mean they will be a part of Angela Bassett's coven of voodoo witches?
Other confirmed "American Horror Story" season 3 "Coven" character names include Madison, to be played by Emma Roberts. In addition, Taissa Farmiga will play Zoe, a new witch who arrives in New Orleans in need to Fiona's protection.
As previously reported, the plot "American Horror Story: Coven" will center around witchcraft and witches, and it appears the Salem witches will face off against the voodoo priestesses.
But even better, an official plot synopsis has been released, giving us even more insight into the season.
"Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves."
