Homeland Season 3 Premiere Leaked Online: Executive Producer Alex Gansa Responds To Criticisms And Talks 'Major Reinvention' In 2013

As "Homeland" prepares for its season 3 premiere September 29, the episode has become the latest victim of online piracy.

According to Deadline, the "Homeland" season 3 premiere episode has appeared on various file-sharing websites such as BitTorrent.

Although the season 3 premiere episode was screened last month at TCA, the leaked version is reportedly a working print without visual effects and the opening credits. How it made its way online is currently unclear.

In talking about "Homeland" season 3, executive producer Alex Gansa spoke with The Huffington Post contributor Maureen Ryan for an in-depth interview.

"I think in the first season, we were able to do it almost on an episode-by-episode basis. We were able to deliver twists and turns, even a couple of times in the same episode," said Gansa regarding "Homeland."

"I think you're going to see as we move forward that we're going to let the spaces between those story twists breathe a little bit more. Not because we think that's better, but because at some point you have to keep it credible."

Gansa also responded to some of the criticisms in involving "Homeland" season 2, specifically certain storylines like the bombing of the tailor shop.

"I totally agree with you. I thought that there was something gratuitous about that. But you know what, is it my job to defend these things?" asked Gansa. "I think in Episode 6, we needed the material that was in the tailor shop. And maybe we didn't have to go to the extremes to get it that we chose."

"The show is going under a major reinvention this season. And I imagine we'll be going under an even bigger one next year."
