Fifty Shades of Grey Cast Member, Charlie Hunnam Most-Searched Name in Google; Role As ‘Christian Grey’ Expected To Boost His Career
Fifty Shades of Grey's Charlie Hunnam has garnered over two million searches in Google within 20 hours after it was announced that he had landed the role of "Christian Grey" in the movie. The 33-year old British actor will be the lead character in the movie adaptation of the controversial best-seller, alongside 23-year old Dakota Johnson who will be "Anastasia Steele" in the film.
Author E.L. James had made the announcement herself in Twitter, saying, "The gorgeous and talented Charlie Hunnam will be Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey."

Hunnam first appeared in "Byker Grove," a British children's show, in 1998. He then played roles in several other TV shows, including "Queer as Folk," "Young Americans," and "Undeclared." He also appeared in movies, such as "The Ledge" and "Deadfall." But he is best known for his role as Raleigh Becket in "The Pacific Rim" as well as Jackson "Jax" Teller in the TV series "Sons of Anarchy" for which he was nominated for several awards.
Other than being an actor, he is also a screenwriter. He said in his interview with GQ Magazine last July, "I wrote a script about Vlad The Impaler that I developed with Plan B, Brad Pitt's company. We did that but never quite got the momentum that we needed, so that's sitting on the shelf right now. Hopefully at some point we'll be able to dust it off and get it made."
He added, talking about another project he is working on, "It's about this blonde-haired, blue-eyed all-American kid who had great aspirations for his life, and lost it all in one fell swoop when he got into an accident... It's an exploration of the death of the American dream."
Fifty Shades of Grey is the first in the trilogy of erotic romance novels, and could very well boost Hunnam to stardom. The first intalment is slated to be shown in theaters on August 1, 2014.
