Karen Gillan Horror Movie 'Oculus' Premieres In Toronto, Romantic Comedy Gets UK Distribution Deal: Is She Returning For Doctor Who 50th Anniversary?

Karen Gillan has been quite busy since ending her stint on "Doctor Who," and several of her movies are ready to debut.

At the Toronto International Film Festival, Karen Gillan will be seen in new horror movie "Oculus," where Gillan plays Kaylie, who believes a 300-year-old mirror is responsible for her parents' murder.

According to BBC, the movie will be screened September 8, 10, and 15.

And as many fans know, her role as space pirate Nebula in "Guardians of the Galaxy" has been much talked about, and it appears to be nearly done filming.

Karen Gillan famously displayed her bald head during the San Diego Comic-Con, in order to play the role.

On top of that, Karen Gillan's Scottish romantic comedy "Not Another Happy Ending" has also been picked up with a U.K. distributions deal.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the movie will be distributed by Kaleidoscope Entertainment, and stars Karen Gillan, Kate Dickie ("Prometheus"), Gary Lewis ("Gangs of New York"), and Henry Ian Cusick ("Lost").

"Not Another Happy Ending" will release in the U.K. in October, with a DVD release in early 2014.

However, despite all the attention Karen Gillan has received since "Doctor Who," fans still ask the same burning question: Will she be in the "Doctor Who" 50th Anniversary Special?

"Whether Arthur Darvill and I are involved, we'll have to wait and see," says Karen Gillan according to Doctor Who TV.
