Nokia Tablet Rumors: 10.1-Inch Windows Tablet Dubbed ‘Sirius’ To Be Launched Sept. 26, Specs Include Full HD Display, 6 MP Camera

Nokia tablet rumors are on the rise as the company is expected to release a 10.1-inch Windows RT device dubbed “Sirius” with a launch date of September 26, reported The Verge. The design based on some photo leaks is similar to the look and feel of the Finnish tech giant’s popular Lumia line of handsets.

According to rumors, the10.1-inch Windows RT tablet will feature full HD display, 6-megapixel rear camera (2-megapixel front), quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip and 2GB of RAM. Sources of the website TechnoBuffalo claim that the device will feature 10 hours of battery with LTE, microSD slot and micro HDMI connection. It will also be thinner and lighter than the current model of the Apple’s 9.7-inch tablet.

TechnoBuffalo said that based on specs alone, the rumored Nokia tablet definitely beats Apple’s iPad. The company, however, is also expected to release a new generation iPad and iPad Mini with sharper and bigger screens.

Sources said that the Nokia tablet is being positioned to be pitted against Apple’s iPad and will be priced similarly.

Other sources claim that Sirius may not be based on Windows RT but rather on Windows 8.1 because the Finnish tech company is not confident about the former. Reports say that the tablet was expected to be launched this month but

Phones Arena reports that aside from the rumored tablet, the company may also released a phablet in the first week of November. By October, it’s expected that dual-SIM Nokia Lumia models will take center stage, followed by a Nokia phablet.

The company, in a huge push to gain market share and push its brand, may also released another device by December.
