Guardians Of The Galaxy Rocket Raccoon [FIRST LOOK] Released! Filming Almost Over Says Director, James Gunn

Fans can now stop wondering what “Guardians Of The Galaxy” member, Rocket Raccoon, will officially look like in the movie.

After confirming that Bradley Cooper will be the voice for the “Guardians Of The Galaxy” member, Marvel also released a picture of what could be Rocket Raccoon’s true look in the upcoming film. [SEE PHOTO BELOW]

The official press release from Marvel comes with this picture [SEE ABOVE PHOTO].

This is somewhat different from the artwork displayed at Comic Con as reported by Screen Rant about four months ago.

During the press conference at the screening of Iron Man 3, director and writer James Gunn admitted that he has been studying with real raccoons to learn its real and actual behaviors:

“…I’ve done a lot of studying with real raccoons and we had real raccoons come in. We’ve done photography with them, I’ve played with raccoons, and fed raccoons, and dealt a lot with real raccoons to get some of the behavior down.

The director added, “…because it’s really, really important to me that Rocket Raccoon, who is the heart of the movie, is not a cartoon character, it’s not Bugs Bunny in the middle of The Avengers, it’s a real, little, somewhat mangled beast that’s alone. There’s no one else in the universe quite like him, he’s been created by these guys to be a mean-ass fighting machine.”

From the official image released by Marvel, Rocket Raccoon really looks like a real-life raccoon with a badass image.

“Guardians Of The Galaxy” is set to be released on August 1, 2014. While the main cast is now complete, with Bradley Cooper as the recent addition to the team, Director James Gunn revealed another update on the film.

According to the Comicbook.com, Gunn is almost half-way done with the film.

“A little over half,” Gunn’s response when asked how much of the film is done.
