Clint Eastwood Wife Dina Defends Him On Twitter Following Divorce; Calls Him ‘Wonderful, Good Natured, Brilliant’

Clint Eastwood's wife Dina defended him on Twitter following negative comments in response to the news that they are getting a divorce.

Clint, 83, and Dina Eastwood, 48, are getting a divorce after 17 years of marriage, Dina confirmed to Us Weekly on Thursday, August 29.

After the news broke that the couple were getting a divorce, negative feedback surfaced regarding the couple, The Huffington Post reports.

Dina took to her Twitter account to silence fans and their trash talking, USA Today reports.

"I don't like reading negative things about Clint," Dina wrote on her Twitter over the weekend. "He is a wonderful, good natured, brilliant person. No matter what, I attest to that."

She also tweeted to her followers: "You may say I have a 'Twitter issue' - but I will take it over a freeloading, lying, deceitfulness, pain infliction issue. Any day."

And: "I usually don't believe in 'karma' for people who target others with evil intentions. But, I sure hope it exists now." It was unclear who are the "people" with "evil intentions."

According to The Huffington Post, Clint and Dina Eastwood split more than a year ago and have been living separate lives. The decision was reportedly "amicable."

In April, TMZ reported Dina entered rehab for depression and anxiety, caused by her deteriorating marriage, according to The Huffington Post.

TMZ reported at the time that Dina was the one who wanted a divorce because things had gotten "so bad."

However, reports claim that Clint did not appreciate his privacy being invaded while filming the reality show "Mrs. Eastwood & Company" on E!, which only lasted one season and was an idea made by Dina, Celeb Dirty Laundry reports.
