The single is off to a hot start and "Survival" gained buzz when it was used as the promotional theme for "Call of Duty: Ghosts." This single gained more heat when it was revealed that famous producer Rick Rubin produced the track.

"You're so close to something when you write it that it's hard to have any perspective on how it hits someone else. Besides Eminem, Rick Rubin has collaborated with many artist: Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Run-D.M.C., Tom Petty, Black Sabbath, Trouble, Slipknot, Slayer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Mars Volta, Jay-Z, Danzig, Dixie Chicks, Metallica, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Weezer, Linkin Park, The Cult, Neil Diamond, Mick Jagger, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine, Melanie C, Audioslave, Sheryl Crow, The Avett Brothers, ZZ Top, Lana Del Rey, Adele and Kanye West.
