Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 Release Date: S-Pen Enabled Android Tablet Is Huge And Will Feature A 2560x1600 WQXGA LCD Display, To Be Launched This Month

Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 release date will also be this month, most recent rumors suggest. The huge S-Pen enabled Android tablet is expected to debut in the next few weeks and a leaked image of the device shows a render of the tablet with its official name reports Android Community.

The tablet is rumored to have a 2560x1600 WQXGA LCD display. The alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 has a physical home button at the bottom, a feature that is absent in most of the manufacturer’s 10.1-inch tablets, according to Android Community. The home button is very visible, however in smartphones, phablets and 8-inch tablets of Samsung.

The still unofficially named gadget has a model number of SM-P900, and reports point to a September release.

Android Community emphasizes that the leaked photo is a render, not an actual picture of the device. The size, however, is consistent with earlier rumors that say that Samsung is planning to produce 12-inch or larger tablets.

The 12.2-inch tablet, if in case Samsung is indeed working on it, would be the biggest Android tablet of its size. Numerous watchers expect to hear more about this from the Unpacked event of the company tomorrow, a few days before the consumer electronics shows IFA in Berlin.

Aside from the 12.2-inch tablet, another market pioneering product of Samsung is the Samsung Galaxy Gear, which the Guardian says “signals the war for the wrist” with Apple.

The rumored smartwatch is expected to debut in Berlin during the company’s unpacked event. It will be the first high-profile launch for a smartwatch this year. Many are expecting Apple to launch a similar product called the iWatch, also this year.
