Scarlett Johansson Movie UPDATE: ‘Under The Skin’ Actress Ditching Her Hollywood Career For Politics?

The 28-year-old 'Avengers' actress didn't mind expressing her faith for President Barack Obama during the presidential re-election campaign. This perhaps heightened her off-screen fascination to join the political arena.

"Do I imagine myself having a full-on political career? That seems like a stretch. But who knows? I don't limit the possibilities. If I have more time, I may be able to lend a bigger voice to politics. I never close the door on those kinds of things," she said in the upcoming issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine.

The ex-wife of Ryan Reynolds owes her political ambitions to her family: "I come from a politically active family. To be an active member of the community, to be a responsible citizen, and to engage politically have always been part of my awareness and part of my life."

She has similarly emphasized the value of being able to freely choose: "More than anything else, I believe that if everyone exercised the right to vote, the right choice would be made by the nation as a whole."

The blonde bombshell recently stunned the crowd of the 70th Venice Film Festival when she arrived looking sophisticated in a figure-hugging Versace ensemble.

She promoted her upcoming movie 'Under The Skin' where she plays the role of a seductive alien abductor who victimizes male hitchhikers and sends them to a flesh-selling corporation.

While others think that 'Under The Skin' is a science fiction film, the lead actress was quick to say that it's a type of film concentrating on existential questions.
