No fan of "How I Met Your Mother" will forget when "The Mother" was revealed in the season finale of season 8. That reveal is now being nominated for an Emmy award as Top TV Moment of the Year. After 8 seasons of teasing fans with Ted Mosby finally meeting The Mother of his children, it was a huge moment for the HIMYM audience.

The official Twitter account of CBS series "How I Met Your Mother" tweeted to followers, asking them to vote the reveal of the mother on HIMYM as Top TV Moment of the Year on the CBS Emmy Award website.

"Was #HIMYM's Mother reveal in the top TV moments of the year? Celebrate TV moments in a countdown to the #Emmys vote!" @HIMYM_CBS tweeted.

According to the website, (which can be found here), fans can vote "again and again through September 16."

The scene of the reveal of the mother on season 8 of "How I Met Your Mother" is up against other top TV moments like Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosting the Golden Globes, the Red Wedding scene from "Game of Thrones," and more serious moments like the Boston Marathon bombing.

The Emmy Awards air on Sunday, September 22 at 8/7c.

According to the "How I Met Your Mother" Twitter account, season 9 is also in a contest: the CBS Fanticipate Fall competition, where fans can vote on "CBS characters, relationships and moments that you can't wait to get more of in the new season."

At the moment, the "How I Met Your Mother" season 9 premiere featuring the mother, titled "Ticket To Farhampton," is in the lead. Fans can vote here.

The scene is up against other premiere reveals from CBS series including "The Mentalist," "Hostages," "Survivor," and "The Bold and the Beautiful."
