Geraldo Rivera Nude Selfie Costs Him Speaking Engagement, Rivera Blows Up: "Pretentious Censorship", Or Drunk Semi-Nude Twitter Selfie?

Geraldo Rivera's nude selfie has come back to haunt him...and he's really not happy. At all.

An event that Geraldo Rivera had booked was cancelled because of a semi-nude photo Rivera posted on Twitter while drunk.

Whoops.

Rivera, the Fox News anchor and personality, was supposed to speak in a panel discussion about the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination. The event was slated to take place at at Duquesne University in October, but because of his, um, conduct, the university pulled out.

Rivera Tweeted, "Just heard Duquesne Univ cancelled my appearance at JFK assassination panel because of 'selfie'. Fact I first aired Zapruder film less impt."

Apparently, the conservative  Catholic university didn't agree with Geraldo posting the pic. Sure, it was only semi-nude...the scandalous photo showed Rivera wrapped in a towel and was captioned "70 is the new 50."

He later deleted the tweet and apologized, saying he'd had a little too much tequila.

The university called Rivera's semi-nude tweet "inappropriate and inconsistent" with the school's religious values.

Whoops.

Geraldo Rivera is still pretty miffed about the cancellation-he called the university's action "pretentious censorship."

What do you think? Should Geraldo Rivera be allowed to speak anyway, despite the selfie? After all, would JFK have cared? Sound off in the comments below!
