The follow-up album to Monae's 2010 album The ArchAndroid. features Prince, Erykah Badu, Miguel, and Solange.

The Electric Lady is another "emotion picture" that channels Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, and others. Monae says the new album aims to be "soundtrack for the Obama era, something that spoke to the beautiful, majestic and revolutionary times that we're living in."

The Electric Lady will be released on September 10th.
