News has spread alleging that Jack Nicholson movies have come to an end due to the actor quietly retiring because of memory loss.

According to RadarOnline.com, an insider revealed the Nicholson's memory loss is effecting his work.

“There is a simple reason behind his decision — it’s memory loss," said the Hollywood insider. "Quite frankly, at 76, Jack has memory issues and can no longer remember the lines being asked of him. His memory isn’t what it used to be.”

The last time we saw the three time Academy Award winner on the big screen was when he starred alongside Reese Whiterspoon, Paul Rudd, and Owen Wilson in the 2010 movie "How Do You Know."

Producers wanted him to play the main role in the upcoming movie "Nebraska" but he rejected the offer. Instead, Bruce Dern will now be playing the part of an aging drunk who takes a trip from Montana to Nebraska with his troubled son in order to claim a million dollar Mega Sweepstakes Marketing prize.

Nicholson is historically the most nominated actor for an Oscar with a record of twelve nominations.

Although the legendary actor is likely to retire, this won't be the last we will see of him.

“Jack has no intention of retiring from the limelight,” said the source. "“He’s not retiring from public life, at all. He just doesn’t want a tribute. He’s happy to tacitly join the retirees club like Sean Connery.”

Does this mean we will still see Jack court side with his beloved Lakers? Of course!
