Benedict Cumberbatch, who was cast as the Lillian Khan in "Star Trek: Into Darkness," recently revealed that he is more of a "Star Wars" fan.

The actor had nothing but good things to say about J.J. Abrams, who will be directing the new installment of "Star Wars: Episode VII."

“He is a gifted director with so much energy,” Cumberbatch said. “The energy is contagious. He has the fervor of a ten-year-old child, but a brilliant mind.”

Cumberbatch included that Abrams give his actors confidence and is open to answer any questions that comes his way.

Rumors emerged that Cumberbatch did get an offer for the new "Star Wars" flick, but his rep recently denied the claims. However, the actor would be open to participating in the project.

Going back to the topic of "Star Trek," Cumberbatch enjoyed playing Khan despite how challenging it was.

“It was a lot of fun. Who wouldn’t be happy taking out five people with their bare knuckles, being dragged along the floor at 16 miles an hour and jumping through garbage trucks and plate glass windows? It was a lot of fun. I went up four suit sizes.”
