Though a US release date has not yet been confirmed, US consumers can expect to have their hands on the Sony Xperia Z Ultra by the end of September.

In the UK, the Xperia Z Ultra is already up for pre-order on Clove UK with a confirmed shipping release date set for September 12, IB Times reports.

It is now available in black and white variants at an estimated price tag of £612.99 (including VAT).

The bundle offer includes free Sony SmartWatch and Stereo Headset SBH20 with purchase of every Ultra phablet.

The Economic Times reports the full details of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra specs. The specifications of the new phablet include a full HD 6.4-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset based quad-core Krait 400 processor, which runs at 2.2Ghz, which Sony claims to be the world's fastest smartphone processor, IB Times reports.

The Xperia Z Ultra is powered by eight megapixel camera with Exmor RS for mobile image sensor technology, which delivers excellent camera image clarity with reduced noise levels, even in low-light conditions, according to IB Times. It also comes with a two megapixel front camera, and camera functions such as geo-tagging, touch-focus, face-detection, panorama and HDR with full HD video recording at 30fps on both the primary and secondary cameras.

Other specs include 2GB RAM, 16GB and microSD capability, and 3,050mAh battery.

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra phablet ships with Android OS 4.2.
