Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Release Date: New Update Rolling Out For HTC One Starting This Week, Canada By Month's End

In spite the plunging numbers, Taiwan-based manufacturer HTC still seeks to gain traction in the market by announcing the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean release date for its flagship phone, the HTC One.

According to HTC America president Jason Mackenzie in a tweet, the current Android version will roll out in the HTC One phones in the US starting this week, while Canada may get the update before the end of the month.

In addition, Mackenzie also mentioned the latest version of Sense UI, which will be released at the same time as the Android update.

However, in spite the update for the HTC One, Mackenzie hinted that the update for other HTC devices later rather than sooner.

On the other hand, a tweet from an HTC One owner in Taiwan already confirmed the OTA update for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

While it is definitely taking a long time for HTC to update its devices, at least it STILL updates them. However, for owners who can't wait months or even a year for these updates to be released, switching to other OEMs would truly become an option.
