Jonas Brothers 'First Time' Talking VMAs Miley Cyrus and Twerking With 'Out' Magazine [VIDEO]

Besides their "First Time" single, the Jonas Brothers sat down with "Out" Magazine to discuss VMAs Miley Cyrus, twerking, and gay rumors.




Although Joe didn't really care for Cyrus' raunchy performance at the VMAs, he suggested it was her way of showing that she is not a kid anymore.




"It wasn’t my favorite performance of hers. I think that there’s one way of saying you’ve grown up, and there’s another way — I think that’s her way," he said. "Look, people are talking about it, so I think it’s working for what she wants."




Meanwhile, His brother Nick happened to enjoy former Hannah Montana's twerking spectacle at the MTV awards show.




"She’s smart. She’s very smart. We’ve always known that about her. She’ll always be successful. [The performance] was funny — I was laughing," said Nick.




Despite Joe not favoring Cyrus' VMAs performance, he is with the whole twerking phenomenon. However, Nick is done with the trend.




"I’m against it," he said. "I’ve just reached my limit. It’s just done. It’s too much."




Joe thinks that twerking should be left for those who know how to do it.




"Bring it on. I’m a fan. I just think it’s appropriate for the right people," said Joe. "Not everyone can twerk."




Nick pays homage to producer Diplo, who really praises the twerking lifestyle.




"Anybody that’s on Diplo’s page — have you seen his Instagram? It’s impressive," he said.
