Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix: Camera Needs Improvement? Reviewer Says It’s a ‘Still Hit Or Miss’

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix has captured the attention of gamers around the world for its gameplay, but one reviewer believes the camera within the gameplay is "still hit or miss."

"This was always an issue with Kingdom Hearts and even the manual camera is stubborn in some areas and becomes easily confused in tight spaces. An adjustable distance would have aided greatly in some battle environments, but it is easy enough to waggle the analog stick or use the lock on feature," GamingIllustrated.com writes.

"Late-game battles can become a mashy grindfest when not being challenged by a particular set of enemies, but the Coliseum and later environments offer plenty of infuriatingly difficult groups. Even with its temperamental camera, Kingdom Hearts Final Mix is the best of this bunch and an easy recommendation to both JRPG and Disney lovers, alike."

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix has been given a new trailer by Disney Interactive Studios and Square Enix, DigitalSpy.com reports, leaving many wondering if it boosted sales for the game.

The video focuses on the Disney characters featured within the games included in the HD collection - over 100 Disney characters appear in the titles, including Goofy and Donald, who venture alongside main protagonist Sora, DigitalSpy.com also reports.

Square Enix will release a 2.5 version of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix if the game remains popular, Shinji Hashimoto, producer of the game's seriers, revealed to IGN.

"If everyone plays 1.5 HD Remix, if everyone likes it and everyone supports us, then 2.5 HD Remix could happen. So at this stage, we just have to encourage people to play 1.5 HD Remix!" Hashimoto told the website.

"The fact is that the main focus of the series is Sora and Riku; how their friendship develops, but also how they grow up - after so many years, the players' personal growth is closely tied to story at this point, so that's the most important thing about the series and what we want to put into the game."
