Metal Gear Solid 5 Release Date News: New Punished Snake Figurine For Sale? Developer Posts Picture Of Protagonist Toy

Metal Gear Solid series creator Hideo Kojima tweeted a picture of an unpainted figurine of Punished Snake on Wednesday, leaving many wondering if the company will begin selling them.

His outfit seems to have more pouches and pockets than most military personnel know what to do with, and even the scars plaguing his face are represented, Gameranx.com reports.

There's plenty for collectors and model aficionados to like here, but even casual fans can enjoy what Play Arts Kai is up to, Gameranx.com also reports.

Kojima commented on the game's torture scene, confirming its important role but stating it will not be controlled by the player, Stack.com reports.

"If the violence will give new emotions that are important to the game, I want to put it there, especially with this game where one of the main topics is revenge," Kojima told EuroGamer.

"I don't want to walk around that. [But] I didn't want to go as far as having playable torture. The part of Metal Gear Solid 5 that has torture is non-playable."

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes may not have exactly captivated the hearts and minds of gamers worldwide after the recent Tokyo Game Show demos, but director Hideo Kojima is still surging ahead - the man himself actually provided a few updates via his official Twitter account about the game, GamingBolt.com reports.

"I got sea sick from checking the dash in 30 fps. I now decided to remove the noise in camera. Hard to feel few types of controller w multi-platform, multi-generation & multi-tablet as we don't adjust the precise button location anymore," the developer announced.

Komami announced that Metal Gear Solid 5's The Phantom Pain will be 300 times larger than its predecessor Ground Zeroes, opening the prospect of boosts in sales.
