Tim Tebow News Update 2013: NFL Free Agent’ Advocates Flew ‘Tebow, Why Not?’ Banner Over Jaguars Stadium, Sign Flown After Jags QB Threw 2 Interceptions

Tim Tebow could probably the most famous and hyped-up NFL free agent around, especially because the former Jets quarterback and most recently, Patriot hopeful, has numerous supporters advocating for him; not to mention media attention that not even the most successful quarterback usually gets.

In a recent stunt by one of his die-hard fans, a banner with the message “Tebow, Why Not?” was spotted above EverBank Field in Jacksonville as the Jaguars played the Colts on Sunday, the Huffington Post reports.

The sign was seen as incumbent Jags quarterback Blaine Gabbert had already thrown two interceptions. He would later add a third during the game.

The sky-high banner begging the possibility of a Tebow comeback was posed to those at EverBank Field just a few weeks after a group aiming to pressure the Jags into signing Tebow held a rally at the stadium parking lot. According to the Huffington Post, the outing wasn’t a rousing success (didn’t yield any Tebow comeback aspired), but it seems that the pro-Tebow fan base is relentless.

In the tweet showing the banner, the hashtag #tebowtime based on Hashtracking is included in an average of 400-500 tweets daily and reaches at least 200,000 people at a time.

In a blog post by USA Today posted Wednesday, the Jaguars signing Tebow may make the team more relevant and a not in a “How bad will he be?” thiking, but “Hey, who knows?” The post went on to suggest that with the team currently in “contention for the worst team in NFL history,” it won’t hurt to sign the famous NFL player and give it a shot.

“As long as they are giving up on 2013, they might as well sign Tim Tebow and give him a shot,” the blog post when on to say.
