iMac 2013 Release Date, Reviews: Haswell-Powered Apple Desktops With Faster Processing And Graphic Chips, Next-Gen WiFi, Comes In 21.5 And 21. 7-inches Options

iMac 2013 release date a week ago showed us the next-generation desktop of Apple upgraded with faster processing capabilities, a higher-end graphics chip, and a much speedier WiFi. The new iMacs comes in 21.5 and 21.7-inches options and is powered by Intel’s latest generation quad-core processors codenamed “Haswell.”

The arrival of Haswell-powered iMacs makes the MacBook Pro the only non-tablet and handset hardware computing line of Apple that does not have the newest processors from Intel.

“iMac continues to be the example that proves how beautiful, fast and fun a desktop computer can be,” Apple’s marketing SVP Phil Schiller said in a press release.

According to the Business Times, the new iMacs looks identical to the 2012 iMacs but still with an updated under-the-hood which includes a faster processing and graphics chip. The new iMacs with the new Intel quad-core chips also have faster wi-fi with 801.11 ac, 8GB of RAM and 1 TB hard drive.

The 21.5-inch models are priced at $1,299 for 2.7 GHz quad-core i5 processor and Intel Iris Pro graphics, while it’s slightly more expense $1,499 versions has 2.9 GHz quad-core i5 processor and NVIDI GeForce GT 705M, 1 GB video memory.

Price for the 27-inch models starts at $1,799, with the model having 3.2 GHz quad-core i5 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M and 1 GB video memory. It’s higher-end counterpart with a price tag of $1,999 lends the user a 2GB video memory with the same NVIDI processor but with a 3.4 GHz quad-core i5 processor.

Apple can also offer build-to-order specifications for the new iMacs.
