Mystery Pokemon Trademarks Continue In Europe With Pokken Fighters And Tournament: Stadium, Colosseum Sequel Or Generation 7 Plus And Minus Preview?

A recent slew of trademarks in Europe have Pokemon fans theorizing on what these upcoming titles could be—including generation 7 rumored to be Plus and Minus.

According to Serebii, The Pokemon Company recently filed trademarks for Pokken Fighters and Pokken Tournament. On August 20, 2013, the same trademarks were filed in North America.

Trademarks are often precautionary and could be the company thinking about merchandise, toys, or something as big as the next big Pokemon game. It's hard to tell at this what Pokken Fighters and Pokken Tournament could mean for the future of the franchise, but fans have some theories.

The first theory is that these are trademarks for the next console Pokemon games a la Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Colosseum, and Pokemon Battle Revolution.

It has been 8 years since the release of Pokemon Battle Revolution, so giving fans an updated version of the games would be great for the Nintendo Wii U.

The other theory is that these are in fact somehow related to plans for Generation 7 of the Pokemon series.

When the original trademarks were discovered last August, a mysterious trailer featuring 3D models also surfaced at a gaming convention.

Many fans claimed that the trailer was for Generation 7 of the Pokemon series, rumored to be called Plus and Minus. The other theory was, of course, that it was related to a console fighting game.

So-Pokken Fighters and Pokken Tournament-what do you think they could be?
