‘X-Men Apocalypse’ Cast Rumors: Mister Sinister, Archangel In The Film? Direct Connection To Apocalypse Make Them No-Brainers!

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" will be shown this month so that means discussion for the sequel can start. "X-Men: Apocalypse" is confirmed for 2016 and it would be a travesty if a couple of villains would not be there.

The storyline in "Days of Future Past" all but guarantees the departure of the 'old' X-Men cast. The intention was to provide proper culture so they can move on with the "First Class" roster.

It also means they can pursue completely new storylines which in turn will introduce new villains. The main villain is all too obvious, but Apocalypse has lived a colorful life which spanned more than a thousand years. His associations with various evil mutants should be depicted.

Two characters closely associated with Apocalypse are logical choices to appear in the X-men sequel. Not just because of their connection to Apocalypse and the X-Men, but also they would look good on the silver screen.

From What Culture, the choices of Mister Sinister and Archangel are evaluated:

"Mister Sinister - Scientist Nathaniel Essex made a deal with Apocalypse, who genetically altered him at the molecular level, transforming him into one of the most powerful humans on the planet. As the immortal Mr Sinister, Essex has a variety of abilities at his disposal, including telepathy, telekinesis and energy projection. The most impressive power of all though is Mr Sinister's ability to control his body at the cellular level, which enables him to shape shift and regenerate fully from almost any injury. On top of all that, Mr Sinister is also a scientific genius, who uses his vast knowledge of genetics to clone, enhance and control mutant abilities. Basically, he could potentially kick the X-Men's asses without even batting an eyelid."

Mister Sinister could very well be a marquee villain by himself, but combining him with Apocalypse has explosive implications.

"Archangel - Technically, Archangel has been a hero far longer than he has been a villain, but the evolution of his character is a pivotal story line that could be mind blowing if translated to film effectively.
Apocalypse saved him and offered a deal; to regain his wings, Angel would have to serve Apocalypse as the Horseman of Death. Worthington agreed and was transformed into a blue skinned antagonist whose metallic wings could slice through almost anything and even fire metal feathers as projectiles."

Face it, a rich boy with feathered wings is lame by today's standards. In the comics, Archangel's wings are indestructible, made with Adamantium, the same substance as Wolverine's claws. A clash with Wolverine would be a fight worth watching.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be released on May 27, 2016.
